Business numerology for practitioners who advise companies

Calculate a company's number, read it against the founder's chart, compare up to five partners and test brand names, all with transparent, consistent rules.

Business clients ask harder questions than most personal clients. They want to know whether a name suits the venture, how it sits with the founder's chart and whether three partners can work together. Good business numerology software lets you answer all three with the same rules every time, so your advice holds up when the client compares notes later.

The practitioner problem

A single business consultation can involve a dozen calculations. You may need the company number, its vowel number, the founder's Life Path, two or three candidate names and a set of partner charts. Done by hand, that is a lot of arithmetic under time pressure.

The bigger risk is inconsistency. If you reduce a name one way today and another way next month, the client sees two different numbers. In business work, that damages trust quickly.

A founder also wants a clear profile to share with partners, not a page of sums. Business numerology software gives you the working and the summary together.

What the business numerology software does

  • Company number. Any company or brand name is converted to its Pythagorean number. You can check the trading name, the legal name or both.
  • Business Soul Urge. The vowels of the name give the company's inner motive, which you can read alongside the outer number.
  • Company profile. Each number comes with its energy, strengths, challenges and ideal industries, so you can discuss fit rather than just a digit.
  • Business Name Suggester. Enter keywords and a target number, and the tool builds name combinations that reach it. You then shortlist with your client.
  • Industry pick-list. Choose the venture type, such as a restaurant, dental clinic, jewellery store, sales company or production house.
  • Owner Profile. From the founder's Life Path, the tool suggests an ideal business number and compatible industries. It also gives a natural business temperament: a strength, a blind spot and an ideal role.
  • Partner Compatibility. Compare two to five partners with pairwise scores, dynamics and watch-outs for each pair.
  • Brand-name testing. Generate compatible brand names, then send shortlisted options to AI Name Correction for a full harmony analysis.

How it works

The method follows the house convention used across this library. You can check every step yourself.

Calculating the company number

Each letter takes its Pythagorean value: 1 = A J S; 2 = B K T; 3 = C L U; 4 = D M V; 5 = E N W; 6 = F O X; 7 = G P Y; 8 = H Q Z; 9 = I R. Each word of the name is reduced to a single digit separately, keeping 11, 22 and 33. The reduced words are then added and reduced again, keeping master numbers.

Compounds of 13, 14, 16 or 19 are noted as karmic debt. Some schools add all letters at once instead. The result can differ, so choose one approach and use it for every company you assess. See the Pythagorean number table for the letter values.

The Soul Urge uses the same steps with vowels only (A, E, I, O, U). NumberTeller counts Y as a consonant.

Harmony between numbers

Two numbers are compared by their root, so 11/2 is treated as 2. The same root scores 1.0 and is labelled "Perfect". A number in the other's friendly group scores 0.8, "Friendly". Anything else scores 0.5, "Neutral".

The friendly groups NumberTeller uses are:

NumberFriendly group
11, 2, 3, 5, 7
21, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9
31, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9
42, 4, 6, 7, 8
51, 3, 5, 7
62, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9
71, 4, 5, 7
82, 4, 6, 8
92, 3, 6, 9

Different schools publish different friendship tables. If you use another, note it in your report.

Partner scores

Each pair of partners is compared on Life Path (40%), Expression (30%) and Soul Urge (30%). The weighted harmony is converted to a 0–100 score: (weighted harmony − 0.5) × 2 × 100, clamped to 0–100. All-Neutral gives 0, all-Friendly gives 60 and all-Perfect gives 100.

Worked example: a restaurant with two candidate names

A fictional founder, Arjun Mehta, born 12 March 1986, is opening a restaurant. He has two candidate names: Saffron Table and Indigo Table. All figures below were verified with a Python script.

Founder's Life Path

PartWorkingReduced
Day12 → 1 + 23
MonthMarch3
Year1 + 9 + 8 + 6 = 24 → 66
Life Path3 + 3 + 6 = 12 → 312/3

His Birthday number is also 12/3.

Candidate 1: Saffron Table

WordLetters → valuesTotalReduced
SAFFRONS1 A1 F6 F6 R9 O6 N5347
TABLET2 A1 B2 L3 E5134 (karmic debt compound noted)
Company number7 + 4 = 1111/2 (master, kept)

Soul Urge: SAFFRON vowels A1 O6 = 7; TABLE vowels A1 E5 = 6. Then 7 + 6 = 13 → 13/4, a karmic debt compound on the final total.

Candidate 2: Indigo Table

WordLetters → valuesTotalReduced
INDIGOI9 N5 D4 I9 G7 O6404
TABLET2 A1 B2 L3 E5134
Company number4 + 4 = 88

Soul Urge: INDIGO vowels I9 I9 O6 = 24 → 6; TABLE = 6. Then 6 + 6 = 12 → 12/3.

Harmony with the founder

Founder LP 3 – company number3 – 2: Friendly3 – 8: Neutral
Founder LP 3 – company Soul Urge3 – 4: Neutral3 – 3: Perfect
Company number – Soul Urge2 – 4: Friendly8 – 3: Neutral

Reading the result

Saffron Table carries 11/2, traditionally linked with service, cooperation and intuition. That suits hospitality. Its 13/4 Soul Urge points to the theme of steady work and discipline behind the scenes.

Indigo Table carries 8, associated with commerce, structure and scale. Its 3 Soul Urge matches the founder's Life Path exactly. However, Arjun's Birthday and Life Path are already both 3, so you may discuss whether more 3 energy is welcome.

Neither name is "right" by the numbers alone. The table frames a conversation about what the founder wants.

Adding partners

Suppose Arjun brings in two partners, with numbers calculated the same way.

Arjun Mehta12/3310/1

For Arjun and Ravi: 0.4 × 0.5 + 0.3 × 1.0 + 0.3 × 0.8 = 0.74, and (0.74 − 0.5) × 2 × 100 = 48. Note that Ravi's Life Path and Nisha's Expression both carry 13/4 compounds.

Using it in a consultation

  1. Agree which name you are assessing. Confirm the trading name and legal name, and record your choice.
  2. Calculate the founder's chart first. Note the Life Path and Birthday, and read the Owner Profile's strength, blind spot and ideal role.
  3. Select the industry. Use the pick-list so the profile is framed for the venture.
  4. Enter each candidate name. Compare company numbers, Soul Urge numbers and harmony with the founder.
  5. Add partners if relevant. Review each pairwise score, the dynamics and the watch-outs.
  6. Generate alternatives if needed. Use the Business Name Suggester with keywords and a target number.
  7. Test the shortlist. Run final options through Name Correction for a full harmony view.
  8. Deliver the report. Export a client-ready PDF and keep the chart saved for later reviews.

Limits and responsible use

Business numerology is a reflective tool. It cannot predict revenue, guarantee success or replace market research, legal advice or a business plan.

Partner scores describe numerical harmony, not character or trustworthiness. A low score is a prompt for discussion, not a reason to end a partnership.

Check trademark, company registration and domain availability before your client commits. No business numerology software replaces those checks.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use the trading name or the registered name?

Practitioners differ. Many treat the trading name as the public energy and the registered name as the company's "birth name". Choose one as primary, state it in your report and calculate the other if useful.

Does the business number override the founder's chart?

No. Most practitioners read the company number in relation to the founder's Life Path and core numbers. The harmony comparison exists for that reason.

How many partners can I compare?

Partner Compatibility handles two to five partners and shows a score for every pair, with dynamics and watch-outs.

Are master numbers kept in company names?

Yes. Under this convention, 11, 22 and 33 are kept at word level and on the final total, as with "Saffron Table" at 11/2.

Is the Name Suggester making the decision?

No. It is a rules-based tool that searches combinations reaching your target number. You and your client choose.
